Here are the results of The Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #3. I'm presenting the scores first because I wanted to include the scores of the individual questions with the questions themselves rather than in a table at the end. After the answer to each question is a list of 12 scores (for the 12 entrants) enclosed in brackets. The first score is that of the person who came in first overall this week (i.e. Barry Silk), the second score is that of the person who came in second (Tom Valente), etc. There are a total of 20 points possible per question (10 for title, 10 for artist). I hope you find this format more useful. Dan Murphy was finally dethroned, although he did an excellent job as usual. Barry Silk identified an amazing 24 out of 25 songs (he missed an additional 3 points for not having exact song titles). The only song he missed was #01, which is the most recent song I've had on any of my quizzes. He must not know that new stuff. place score Name age number on team [ 1] 477 Barry Silk - 1 [ 2] 459 Tom Valente 34 1 [ 3] 450 Dan Murphy 36 1 [ 4] 400 Steve Goldman (actuary@ncoast.ORG) 32 2 [ 5] 280 Ron Crandall rmc@psuvm.psu.edu 39 1 [ 6] 269 Cool & In-the-know Rock-n-roll Team 30 to ?? ~10 [ 7] 248 TOM O'CONNOR 31 1 [ 8] 160 NCR Vigilantes - - [ 9] 120 Team NCR Compilers &~Rick 34, 35, 28 3 [10] 90 Charles Carraher 26 1 [11] 90 hammond@css.itd.umich.edu - - [12] 67 Carole Dugan - 1 References used: Steve Goldman The Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits Tom Valente A Billboard Top 40 Reference Book Team NCR Compilers &~Rick Joel Whitburn's "Top Pop" 1955-1982 And the 3-week cumulative standings (I hope I've correctly merged teams that have entered under different names): [ 1] 1320 Dan Murphy [ 2] 820 Tom O'Connor [ 3] 815 Barry Silk [ 4] 469 Rich Kulawiec & Deb Smith [ 5] 459 Tom Valente [ 6] 439 Laura A Eppright [ 7] 432 Charles Carraher [ 8] 420 NCR Vigilantes [ 9] 400 Steve Goldman (actuary@ncoast.ORG) [10] 399 Team NCR Compilers &~Rick [11] 378 Doug Sager [12] 340 Cool & In-the-know Rock-n-roll Team [13] 337 Patti and Wayne Hathaway [14] 312 Jeff/Jim/Kevin/Gina/Russell [15] 283 Scott R.
