Please address all comments to Barry at bsilk@charm.isi.edu -------------------------cut here------------------------ RESULTS and ANSWER KEY for GOLDEN OLDIES LYRICS QUIZ #43 Congratuations to David & Jamie Lubin for an outstanding performance on this difficult quiz! The Crandalls had an excellent score as well with their second place finish. The Schuberts and Joe Haertel deserve special mention as well for their good scores. Unfortunately the difficulty level for this quiz was alot higher than what I expected it to be as evidenced by the low scores submitted by some of the GOLQ regulars. I'll try to make my next quiz easier. Of course, thanks to everyone who participated! GOLQ#44 will be posted shortly by Rick Schubert. The first column indicates the average number of points scored on that song (total points divided by number of entrants). For comparison purposes, tie-breakers are scored here on the usual 20-point scale. I feel this chart is somewhat misleading because a fair number of the songs identified were guessed at. That skews the 'recognition' aspect of this table. But, since it has become a GOLQ tradition, here it is: Avg.
