RESULTS and ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #248 (GOLQ248)

As seems to be a trend with recent NAVAIRHEAD quizzes, a high percentage
of teams were able to post perfect or near perfect scores. We thought
the quiz to be reasonably easy, but not the cakewalk that it turned out
to be. Interestingly, not one team scored below 345, which is usually a
score we NAVAIRHEADS would kill for. Four teams tied for first with
flawless performances, and the next four missed only the second tiebreaker.
Four of the subsequent five teams would have tied for first, except for
minor administrative discrepancies that put them between 495 and 498.
Congratulations to all, especially The Village Idiots, The EJ's, Delphi
Trivia Club, and Vito & the Salutations.

Median score was 498, and mean was 463. Pretty high!

Thanks to all for playing and supporting the GOLQ. We hope the quiz
stirred some memories and provided some fun. Marc Dashevsky has already
posted GOLQ #249.

From the LP "Elvis," and also from the extended play 45 that included four

goal was to include a tiebreaker from that classic "Elvis" album, and our
original selection was "Paralyzed." However, we had overlooked the fact
that "Paralyzed" was released as a single, thereby rendering it ineligible.
