RESULTS & ANSWER KEY for Golden Oldies Lyrics Quiz #351 (GOLQ351)
Congratulations to Delphi Trivia, Really Rockin' In Boston, and the Village
Idiots who tied for first place in what by all accounts was a difficult quiz.
The intended theme was 50's and 60's television personalities who were not
(at least initially) noted for their vocal ability. Everyone identified it
in one form or another. A second possible (and unintended) theme was that a
number of the songs were of the "spoken word" genre. I guess that is not
surprising given the lack of vocal talents of some of these "golden throats".
A few entrants identified the minor theme.
The May quiz (GOLQ 352) will be posted soon.

also the voice of the "Carousel Of Progress" attraction at Disney World.
Kind of creepy since he passed away sixteen years ago.

As an aside, the song may be considered a trifle politically incorrect
in some circles, particularly here in NE Ohio where the ball club has the
Chief Wahoo logo. The Wahoo insignia has pretty much vanished from the
ballpark except on fan paraphernalia where it is worn whenever possible.

Group consisted of Chuck Woolery and Elkin Fowler. Chuck was the host
of several game shows; he was the original host of "Wheel Of Fortune"
Currently Chuck is a pitchman for creams and devices to (allegedly)
cure the aches and pains of the old and creaky (like me).

I have to admit that I am amazed that the tie-breakers were recognized
as much they were. It speaks to the remarkable ability of the folks
who play these quizzes.
